Challenges to be addressed include;
challenges in the EU, including a possible Referendum in the UK, challenges of internationalisation and
restructuring, challenges of innovation and technology, and challenges of protectionism versus further liberalisation.
The Lord Mayor will detail the City’s role in the Japan-British Partnership and highlight new trends and opportunities.
The East India Company was founded in the City of London. The historical roots of the Japan400 celebration relating to the voyage of “The Clove” link in with the City’s tradition of innovation and internationalisation. After a brief historical introduction, the main focus of the seminar will be consideration of present and future challenges for both providers and users of the City’s services.
