In September, Trevor Skingle walked 126 km along the Nakasendo Road through the Kiso Mountains from Mitake in Gifu Prefecture to Karuizawa in Nagano Prefecture along the Nakasendo Road.
Trevor says:
At the same time I will be using this as a fundraising walk for the charity I work for one of whose members, the Director of MSF Japan, deployed a Humanitarian Disaster Relief team into the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami disaster zone
While I am on the walk I will be blogging daily on the English language on line magazine I write for called Diverse Japan to share this experience and inform people who read the blog about the Nakasendo in the hope that it will contribute to the links between our two countries by encouraging people to engage with and learn about a part of Japan that is little known, even in Japan
