The Green Chorus is a Japanese women’s choir formed more than 30 years ago in Golders Green, London. Following their memorial concert in March this year for the sufferers of the Great East Japan Earthquake, they are presenting “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Mussorgsky with their voice and in Japanese at their 25th Anniversary Concert on 6th July. The programme also includes traditional Japanese songs as well as sacred music by G. Caccini, M. Kocsár & G. Fauré. Everyone is welcome to free drinks after the concert to celebrate their 25th Anniversary.
The Green Chorus is a regular participant of Japan Festivals as well as of various events such as the Southbank’s Chorus Festivals for many years. Introducing Japanese music to the people in this country has been their great pleasure and honour. They wish and hope to continue to contribute something through music that will inspire and deepen understanding between English and Japanese people.
This concert is in association with Nippon Club
