Kosmos, a london-based trio, would like to remember the tragic events of the Fukushima disaster two years ago, by giving a lunchtime concert to raise money for Friends of Fukushima, a Hong Kong-based Christian charity that supports survivors. This year is also a wonderful time for Kosmos to begin including some Japanese music in its concert programmes.
Influenced by music from all over the world, classically – trained musicians of Kosmos perform with “telepathic rapport, dazzling virtuosity, serious scholarship, intellectual curiosity and impeccable musicianship. I defy you not to be mesmerised.” Richard Morrison, The Times. Wild Gypsy fiddling, emotive Jewish and Greek music glides into hot-blooded tango and Japanese folk song.
Admission is free but a Donation for the Friends of Fukushima Charity is suggested
1.05pm, 11th March 2013 (50 mins)
