As a special celebration of the arrival of the early British pioneers in Japan

To be performed by Akira Matsura,
41st Head of the Matsura Family, former feudal Lords of the Island of Hirado

at
St. Mary Magdalene Church, Gillingham, Kent ME7 1SS
(where William Adams/Miura Anjin was baptised in 1564)

On
Thursday, 12th September 2013 at 2.30 p.m.
(Offering of tea to guests between 3 and 4 p.m.)
(Guests should be seated by 2.15 p.m.)

The ancestors of Akira Matsura welcomed the British in 1613 and provided the East India Company with a base in Japan thereafter.
