‘Haiku Prelude – Haiku Kami’ is an art project by Carolina Khouri, inspired by haiku, the poetry form which originated in Japan. The practice of Haiku fascinates people all around the world and it has many followers in the West. This project is a series of painting which explores that influence on visual art.
The exhibition is dedicated to the victims to the Great East Tohoku Earthquake and marks the second anniversary of the tragic events in March 2011 in Japan.
The project publication proceeds are donated Momo – Kaki Orphans Fund.
